Fans Help Unlock Owl City's New Album 'The Midsummer Station' Art
Owl City’s Adam Young has given the key to his fans to unlock the album art for his upcoming full-length studio album The Midsummer Station. With every 10,000 shares that http://owlcityunlock.com receives on Facebook and Twitter, one of four pieces of the art will be uncovered. There is no limit as to how many times one person can share. Already one piece has been uncovered, displaying parts of what seems to be a house made of wood with many levels.
Owl City tweeted, “Thank you to all who already helped unlock the artwork. You can share as many times as you want so go crazy! http://owlcityunlock.com #OCTMS” With the pace that it’s being shared, the art is expected to unveiled completely very soon!
He announced during his May 24th Twitter Q&A session that The Midsummer Station will release on August 14th, 2012. Fans are eager to hear the new music after getting a glimpse into the full album in his recentShooting Star EP.
After gaining mainstream success and a huge following, Owl City remains humble and true to his Christian faith.
“After four years of writing music, making records, meeting new people and performing live around the world, my relationship with God is still what gets me out of bed in the morning,” he said.
“God has called me to do what I do and create the music I create so that I may shed a bit of light into the world and perhaps paint a picture of His unfailing love. It’s been a roller coaster of a ride, but after every unexpected twist or turn, I am only made stronger because of the grip I have on the hand of my Creator.”
